Between Christmas and Valentine’s Day, many people have received or purchased a Keurig coffee maker, myself included. A conversation today with DadStreet has me waxing poetic about mine, so putting those poetic ramblings on the blog sounded like a great idea.
* | Because the husband loves me and knows how to shop for a steal, I got one of those bad boys at Christmas. It also came with 60 k-cups. Yes, you read that correctly, 60 k-cups which included a sample box, 2 boxes of hazelnut and 2 boxes of Nantucket Blend.
With all those options included to choose from, I was even more excited than usual for our traditional Saturday night gatherings. Why? Because it means that everyone (or at least the coffee drinkers) can all make a different cup of coffee and we could try them all! It took a few weeks, but we did work our way through all the flavors. It was an educating experience, because while apparently I like strong coffee, I don’t like and/or can’t drink extra bold coffees. I had also never realized how much of a mess a regular coffee maker makes. It never SEEMED like a big mess, but now cleanup takes 2 seconds. Pop open the top, remove the used k-cup, deposit in trash. Done. No grounds flying out of the coffee filter and onto the floor, no baskets to clean (except if you use the my k-cup and it even seems easier to empty and clean), no coffeepot to scrub. |

Wow! Funny how what started out as my coffee maker blowing up today turned into you writing a post! You know what’s funny? I actually thought of writing a post about coffee too! LOL I still might do that! 🙂
Thanks for all of your advice and I’m definitely going to check out the Keurig. Funny how attached we get to our coffees, huh?
Between the conversation and making a cup of coffee, I was all about my Keurig! And when I’m all about something, I write. 😉 Good luck finding a new coffee maker!
